We are delighted to announce our next Beginner’s Tarot course starting in April 2026! This will be a 6 week evening course held on the following Thursday nights at Holistic Wellbeing in Honley:
*Week 1 – Thursday 9th April
Week 2 – Thursday 16th April
Week 3 – Thursday 23rd April
Week 4 – Thursday 30th April
Week 5 – Thursday 7th May
Week 6 – Thursday 14th May
Time: 7.30pm – 9.30pm (Doors open at 7pm) Week 1 will be a 7pm start as we’ve a lot to get through!
ESSENTIAL:
Please ensure that you can commit to ALL 6 dates.
Each evening is integral to the successful completion of the course.
What you will need:
- Dedication! – your Tarot journey is your journey! We are here to help and guide you but we can’t take that journey for you! To get the best out of this course you will need to set regular time aside for self-study – the more you put in, the more you’ll get out. Homework will be set after each session to aid your learning
- A sense of humour! Expect a few laughs along the way. In our experience, a fun and relaxed atmosphere is the best way to learn. There will no doubt be banter aplenty!
- Access to Facebook – we will set up a private Tarot group for you to support each other. The group’s aim is to enhance your learning experience, give you the opportunity to practice with a partner, ask questions, to encourage and be encouraged.
- A notepad and pen.
What will you learn?
We shall be covering a wide range of Tarot related topics including cleansing and looking after your deck, myths & superstitions, a little bit of history and symbolism as well as the study of the Major and Minor Arcana, some simple spreads, how to interpret them and the opportunity to pair up and have practice sessions. All this in a fun and nurturing environment under the expert guidance of Angie Wilson who began her Tarot journey over 35 years ago and your host, Ann Halstead.
What do we provide?
Well, apart from expert tuition, a lot of laughs and light refreshments, you will also receive a signed Full Colour, Hardback Edition of our new book: The Easy Way to Learn Intuitive Tarot and a pack of The Golden Tarot Deck. Upon completion of the course you will also receive a certificate of attendance.

Just completed the beginners’ tarot course and thought I would share here in case some of you are considering joining the next course and not sure- most definitely do it! Ann and Angie work as a wonderful team to offer a well rounded course. They look at the history of Tarot and the meanings traditionally apportioned to the cards but, alongside this, is the amazing opportunity to start to open yourself up to developing your own intuition. Every week was a personal journey.The course is well structured and designed for today- the technology was quite manageable (says a technophobe). The group was mixed in all ways and the Facebook positivity set a great tone as we learnt together and made friends with like minded people. With all that’s been going on in the world this course has been really uplifting. It might have finished but the journey is continuing.’

I’m so glad I decided to embark on this journey into the mystery of the Tarot with both of you (and a group of lovely people from all over the U.K.!). Having the privilege of knowing both of you already made my decision a bit easier because I knew I’d be guaranteed professionalism, a thorough and sincere approach to the subject and the benefit of years (sorry ladies!) of lived experience. I knew that there’d be a bit of irreverent fun and a modicum of naughtiness too!As a ‘mature beginner’ (and by no means the only one) I never felt uncomfortable or out of place but was supported throughout and given tremendous encouragement, which still continues after the course has ‘officially’ ended. The mix of written information (which I have now downloaded) and video presentation by both of you really helped me to engage with my new cards in a memorable and lasting way. The opportunity to partner up for readings in the last two sessions made sense of everything I’d learned and allowed me to use my intuition. Angie’s subsequent feedback put it all into perspective. I love the fact that I can continue to benefit from the video content for as long as I wish because it’s all available in our private group online, and the Facebook group allows attendees to arrange practice readings in a supportive environment.
