General Terms & Conditions

The following Terms, Conditions and Company Policies apply to ALL services provided by Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd.

Payments, Ticket Transfers & Missed Appointments

• All payments for Events/Workshops/Courses/Therapies, whether made online via our website, by bank transfer or in cash, either in full, by deposit or prior agreed installments, are strictly non-refundable.
• Should you need to rearrange or cancel your Therapy appointment, please give at least 24-hours notice where possible. At its own discretion, Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd reserves the right to charge for missed appointments and to apply a re-booking fee where applicable.
• A booking fee applies to all online payments.
• Due to limited numbers of places on Events/Courses/Workshops where a deposit has been placed, if the remaining balance is not paid by the due date stipulated at the time of booking, We reserve the right to offer your place to a Student/Delegate on Our waiting list. Our standard balance payment deadline is usually two weeks before the date of the Event/Course/Workshop commences.
• Event tickets are non-transferrable, however, Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd may allow a discretionary ticket transfer providing that:
  • The original ticket holder informs Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd by e-mail of their non-attendance and requests a transfer at least 12 hours before the event takes place.
  • To avoid any confusion or refusal of entry, the original attendee must nominate the new attendee (e.g. giving new attendees name and a contact number/e-mail address).
  • Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry if a ticket has not been validated for use in any way.

Entry & Cancellation Policies

• By taking part in a reading, therapy, workshop or event either at our premises, online or at your own premises, you agree to the terms and conditions here.
• Unless prior consent has been given in writing or verbally in person by a parent or guardian, all Events/Courses/Workshops are for entertainment/educational purposes only and you must be at least 18 years of age to attend.
• Entry may be refused when Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd or its authorised Booking Agents are unable process any booking where:
  • A booking deadline has been exceeded.
  • An Event/Course/Workshop/Therapy has been advertised as “Fully Booked,” “Sold Out” or “Pre-Book Only.”
  • A online payment has been attempted and rejected.
  • We are not in a position to physically respond to emails/texts/phone/web messages, nor send out late invites, usually up to 2 hours prior to the start of an event.
• We reserve the right to refuse entry or send away any person(s) deemed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs ir found to be unmanageable or a danger to the safety or enjoyment of others. No refund will be given and any additional costs and responsibility involved in removal from Our premises will be borne by said person(s).
• When attending Events/Courses/Workshops/Therapies, Clients might hear the personal views, beliefs and opinions of others which may challenge their own perspectives. Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd offers an open thinking environment, however, abusive, hateful or criminal behaviour will not be tolerated and anyone displaying such behaviour will be sent away with no refund given.
• If circumstances beyond our control necessitate the postponement of an event, we reserve the right to offer an alternative date. In this instance if the new date isn’t suitable for an attendee, a credit note will be offered which can be used in part or full payment towards another event held by Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd.
• If you wish to cancel a booking for a course that has been paid in full within 14 days of you receiving your booking form, you must e-mail your course facilitator, either annhalstead@holistic-wellbeing.co.uk or Jonathan @holistic-wellbeing.co.uk. If you fail to inform us within that 14 days all payments are strictly non-refundable. For courses paid for through Booking Agents, we reserve the right to deduct any commission charge levied upon us by such agents from the total amount of the transaction paid.
• Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd accepts no responsibility for any loss due to cancellation of any programme or event nor will it be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure. Personal arrangements including travel, subsistence and accommodation relating to the Event/Course/Workshop/Therapy which have been arranged by you are entirely at your own risk.
• Should a Client miss any section of an Event/Course/Workshop/Therapy due to personal circumstances, we are unable to offer a refund for missed classes or a free of charge replacement lesson, however, at its own discretion, Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd may offer extra tuition on a one to one basis which will incur a fee equivalent to our current hourly rate and in some circumstances, it may be possible for a Student/Delegte to join a future course to re-attend the relevant missed class.
• If you suffer from epilepsy, clinical depression or any other nervous or psychiatric condition it is the responsibility of the Client/Customer/Student/Delegate to contact Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd for advice as some Events/Courses/Workshops may not be suitable.

General & Medical Disclaimers

• All Events/Courses/Workshops/Therapies are for entertainment/educational/therapeutic purposes only.
• Therapies offered by Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd are complementary and are not a substitute for general medical diagnosis, prognosis, treatments or procedures. If you have any health concerns about being involved in any Event/Workshop/Course or Therapy, you must consult your GP for professional health advice prior to attending.
• If you suffer from pre-diagnosed or ongoing metal health issues, epilepsy, clinical depression or any other nervous or psychiatric condition, it is the responsibility of the Client/Customer/Student/Delegate to inform Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd in advance of booking as some Events/Courses/Workshops/Therapies may not be suitable. (Refer to previous clause).
• Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd disclaims all liability for any direct or indirect loss, damage or expense suffered in connection with any Event/Course/Workshop/Therapy which includes loss of or damage to property for example watches, jewellery, cameras or clothing, losses or additional expenses due to delays or changes in travel services, sickness, weather, strikes, riots, war or government mandates.
• No video or audio recordings of any kind to are to be made on our premises unless authorised beforehand and in writing by Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd.
• Any and all photographs taken by Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd may be used by for the purposes of marketing, promotion or advertising without any payment or compensation being offered. If you do not wish to appear in any photographs, please let us know proir to attending or on the day of attendance.

In addition/in conjunction with, the following Terms relate to specific services provided by Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd:

Reiki Courses

• On receipt of full payment or a deposit for a Reiki course, under normal circumstances the downloadable link for your training pack will be emailed to you within 48 hours. If you have chosen to receive a printed training package, it will be posted out within 3 working days for Reiki 1 & Reiki 2 and 5 working days for the Reiki Master/Teacher course. If we are unable to honour delivery times for any reason, we will advise of such delays on the website above the payment button.

• Payments are subject to our Terms above,

• If you need to defer your Reiki practical day to a later date, a re-booking fee of £40 will be applied for Reiki 1 and Reiki 2 courses and a re-booking fee of £70 will be applied for the Reiki Master/Teacher weekend.

• If you have chosen to pay a deposit, the remaining balance for your Reiki course is due 2 weeks prior to your practical day by bank transfer. If the remaining balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to offer your place to another student.

• In the unlikely event that you are the sole Student/Delegate booked on a particular date, then the course may not go ahead. If possible we will try and bring in a former student to accompany you on the course so that you get the best out of your training but that may not always be possible. In this instance we will either discuss training on a one to one basis or offer you alternate dates. We always aim to give at least one weeks notice should we need to make any changes and reserve the right to do so.

Clairvoyant/Psychic/Lifepath/Tarot Readings/Psychic Evenings/Spiritual Counselling

• As per current legislation, all readings are for entertainment purposes only.
• Readings are for over 18’s only unless accompanied by an adult.
• We reserve the right to refuse to read for anyone who may be deemed as addicted to psychics. We do not encourage addiction to psychics, you are in control of your own life, we merely offer guidance, not a way out of personal responsibility.
• If we sense that you are in a distressed or anxious frame of mind, we may ask you to wait until you are calm and focused so that your reading is not influenced by your current emotional state. Sometimes when someone is highly charged, they don’t really want to hear what is being said and that is completely counter-productive for both the Client and the Medium.
• No refunds are offered, you are paying for the reader’s time spent which is offered in good faith. Please enter into a reading with an open mind, you may not hear what you ‘want’ to hear but you will receive what you ‘need’ to hear at that time.  Sometimes the best evidence is when the sitter discovers the meaning at a later stage. 
• We are not here to be tested, our reputation speaks for itself.  We always strive to do our best and no reader can ever guarantee 100% accuracy, we are human after all and any information received is down to the clients’ interpretation.
• At the clients request, Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd can offer to provide an optional recording service for readings or certain therapies where applicable. Whilst every effort is made to provide this service, we cannot guarantee the success of a recording nor shall we be held responsible for any disappointment caused by circumstances beyond our control due to electronic malfunction of recording or computer equipment, electronic transfer of files via third party services such as e-mail, Bluetooth, Wifi, cable or any other such transfer. Clients are welcome to take notes and use their own equipment i.e. mobile phone as a back up.  The recording is offered as a courtesy of the reading and does not constitute the basis of a reading. It is offered as a choice, free of charge and has no monetary value. Providing a recording is successful, the file will be held on a secure hard drive for up to four weeks after the recording was made. After this time, due to limitations of available hard drive space, files will be securely deleted and rendered irretrievable.
• For readings in person, we respectfully ask for a 24 hour notice period if you cannot make the appointment so we can offer the slot to someone else.  If you do not show up to your appointment without any notice, we cannot guarantee a future appointment.  It is your responsibility to keep track of your appointment.
• Remember, you are in charge of your own destiny, you can change any outcome at any given time.
• With Clairvoyant readings, we cannot guarantee that any specific person will come through.  Please bear in mind that information may come from sources other than close loved ones.  These may be spirit guides, angels, friends, neighbours, distant relatives or even from connections from when we are too young to remember. You may have to search for the connection of evidence given, things aren’t always apparent immediately.
• Whilst you will be given the opportunity to ask questions, we cannot guarantee an answer.  Sometimes there are things that we mustn’t know the answer to at that particular time. This is usually down to a lesson that we must discover for ourselves.
• Under current legislation, we do not diagnose or provide medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.  Our services are not a substitute for these professional services and we recommend that you contact the relevant, professional, qualified advisor if your query is of this nature.
• We make no guarantees of any particular outcome although we do promise to provide our best professional efforts, skills and care and to deliver the services as advertised.
• Psychic Evenings: By taking part in one of these events, you will have paid to witness a Demonstration of Mediumship. This demonstration is a form of experiment; no claims are made and results cannot be guaranteed. You are not guaranteed a personal message. You may see or hear things which you have not experienced before. If you feel vulnerable at any time during the service, you must speak to the organisers or a member of staff. All readings are for entertainment purposes only.

Online, In-Person Events & Services

• Please note that Online event tickets are subject to the Terms here and above.
• Please allow up to 72 hours for tickets to be emailed unless otherwise specified.
• In the event that a confirmation e-mail has not been received, we advise to check your spam/junk mail folder before contacting Us.
• For online bookings, tickets will be sent to the email address supplied to our Booking Agents at the time of booking. Please check the email address is live and monitored in the first instance.
• As above, a Booking Fee will applied to all bookings made online.
• Please be aware that on evenings that involve audience participation such as psychic evenings or Tarot events, we cannot guarantee that you will receive individual attention or an individual message.
• If circumstances beyond our control necessitate the postponement of an event, we reserve the right to offer an alternative date. In this instance if the new date isn’t suitable for an attendee, a credit note will be offered that can be used in part or full payment towards another event provided by Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd.
• We do not accept responsibility for any equipment or Internet connection failure either on our part or yours or that of any third-party service provider prior or during the event. This includes any damage to attendees equipment caused by physical, electrical or electronic means, virus activity, hacking, data corruption, loss of data or negligence of any kind. 
• Holistic Wellbeing yorkshire Ltd will not be held responsible for any extra charges incurred by third parties for using their services.
• Due to the technology used by Internet Facility Providers, Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd cannot automatically or manually re-instate an attendee’s connection. It is the responsibility of the attendee to attempt to reconnect if connection is lost for any reason.
• Once an event has commenced, we can only attempt to restore an attendee’s session when they re-appear in the Internet Facility Providers virtual ‘waiting room.’

Gift Vouchers

Please note that gift vouchers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Vouchers are transferrable providing they are transferred up to ind including the expiry date. contact your service and are only valid up until their expiry date. To arrange this, directly e-mail the contact on your voucher.

Third Party Specialist Booking Terms – Green Cross First Aid Training – Cancellation Policy:

Where a contract with a consumer is concluded on a distance selling basis the Regulations (as amended from time to time) will apply and the Purchasing consumer will have a general right to cancel. In the case of services, this will expire 14 days after booking (except for late bookings when it will expire on the date the services are commenced). Subject to the Regulations and to the foregoing, if a request is made to cancel services, the following fees will be applied:

• More than 4 weeks before commencement date: full refund less £4.50 card processing fees. *Card Processing fees are non refundable, they are a direct charge from the credit/debit card company to Holistic Wellbeing. Please note that there are no card processing fees added for payments made by bank transfer as these do not incur additional costs to Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd.
• Between 2-4 weeks before Commencement date: 50% of amount charged plus £4.50 card processing fee.*
• Less than 2 weeks before Commencement date: 100% of amount charged plus £4.50 card processing fee.*
• In all cases, notice of cancellation must be confirmed in writing to: annhalstead@holistic-wellbeing.co.uk

Holistic Wellbeing Yorkshire Ltd reserve the right to amend, update or alter these terms and conditions at any time and without notice.
